Veneers

Transform your smile with beautifully crafted porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are designed to transform the appearance of your smile. They are thin, custom-made shells that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth to improve their shape, size, colour and overall appearance.

It can help with

  • Improve tooth colour: Enhance the appearance of teeth with stubborn discolouration or staining that may not respond to whitening.
  • Reshape uneven teeth: Improve the appearance of teeth that are irregular in shape, size or length.
  • Close small gaps: Create a more uniform appearance by reducing the visibility of spaces between teeth.
  • Restore chipped or worn teeth: Improve the appearance of teeth that have become chipped, worn or damaged.
  • Improve smile symmetry: Create a more balanced and harmonious appearance across your smile.

How it works

Your veneers journey begins with discussing what you'd like to change about your smile and the results you're hoping to achieve.

Following your assessment, a personalised treatment plan will be created to determine the ideal shape, size and shade of your veneers.

Once you're happy with the proposed design, your teeth will be carefully prepared to create space for the veneers. Digital scans will then be taken to allow your bespoke veneers to be made. Once ready, your veneers will be carefully fitted and bonded to your teeth.

Questions people ask

How long do porcelain veneers last?

With the right care, porcelain veneers can last 10 to 15 years or even longer. Their lifespan will depend on factors such as your oral hygiene, lifestyle habits and whether you grind or clench your teeth. Regular dental check-ups are important to monitor your veneers and keep your smile in the best possible condition.

Is getting veneers painful?

The process is generally comfortable, although some sensitivity may occur following the preparation of your teeth. Local anaesthetic is usually used during preparation to help keep you comfortable. Dr Theeps will make sure you're looked after throughout each stage of treatment.

Will my veneers look natural?

Absolutely! Veneers are individually designed to suit your smile, taking into consideration factors such as your natural tooth shape, facial features and preferred shade. The aim is to create a beautiful, natural-looking result that complements your overall appearance.

Do veneers damage your natural teeth?

Porcelain veneers may require some removal of natural tooth enamel to create space for them to fit correctly.

Can veneers stain or change colour?

Porcelain veneers are highly resistant to staining compared to natural teeth. However, the surrounding natural teeth can still discolour over time, so maintaining good oral hygiene and attending regular hygiene appointments is important to keep your smile looking consistent.
